Well like all things that are done without a budget and purely out of passion and love you often find yourself stealing people's time or begging for it. You find that things always take much much much much much longer than ever expected or anticipated and patience truly becomes your best friend or secret lover.
We shot in March and finished within two weeks wow I know we shot like crazy literally pushing everyone to the limit, awesome considering that ecveryone was immensely high on passion and a deep connection to the beautiful words that the script provided. After numerous fights with cast and crew caused by fatigue and iritation, literally buying all the red bull and coffee tins that we could lay our eyes on just to keep awake and take that last shot or dillisional momments of millions of people reading this blog and actually showing great interest and sharing their absurd opinions about what they thought of our film but most importantly loving every momment of it...
We finished phew, taken by the emotional euphoria and naustalgia of all the shit that we went through to make this so called "beautiful art work"(I hope you guys agree witht that last bit when you see it). We where so drunk in our great sense achievement that we forgot how long we still had to go, our next huge dilemna was teh editing process.
we started off quite well actually having the director Edit and he didnt do too badly actually much better than we all expected, however we all knew that there was still something missing from the movie. after we had the viewing he decided to go and re work at it and that was when we encountered problems with his macbook crashing and not willing to handle the workload(Enter panick mode), what to do and where to start?
We made a couple of calls and managed to get a greta deal for a Suite as long as we would like through a friend of mine. As i said earlier patience became our new best friend we where so frustrated and still are with how long the damn thing is taking I supose thats what you get for asking for peoples time and not compensating them for it. 6 months after we said teh vary famous words "Thats a wrap", we still caught up in the edit suite still trying to finish off the edit and subtitles so we can move on.
In as much as we would have loved to have the full package for you guys, we realise two things and I know im repeating myself but Ill say it again anything thats indie wiuthout a budget will always take a bit longer than what you expect of it to oh and to avoid sleepless nights just learn to embrace patience because it will take a damn long long long long time
All that being said I hope you guys are looking forwad to seeing it as much as we are looking forward to presenting it to you. Will keep you updated as to when our trailer will be up and how the third phase of our film is going.
Till then learn how to be patient because as the famous saying goes all good things come to those who wait
